Chinezi Chijioke

Mr. Chinezi Chijioke is co-founder and CEO of Nova-Pioneer Education Group, a network of accessible 21st century private schools across Africa. The mission of Nova-Pioneer is to develop generations of innovators and leaders who will shape Africa. The first Pioneer Academy opened in south Johannesburg in January 2015. Today, Nova-Pioneer operates four schools in South Africa and Kenya, with a goal of operating 100 great schools during the next decade.

Chijioke started his career as a secondary school mathematics teacher where he was nominated by his students to Who’s Who of American Teachers. Prior to founding Nova-Pioneer, Chijioke led McKinsey & Company’s African Education Practice, and co-authored McKinsey’s 2010 global education report, How the World’s Best School Systems Keep Getting Better. He currently serves on the Global Advisory Council of Teach For All.

Chijioke holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Harvard University, as well as an MBA and Masters of Education from Stanford University.
