Fernando Cortés is the vice president of corporate social responsibility at Grupo Bolívar and the executive director of Fundación Bolívar Davivienda, the philanthropic arm of Grupo Bolívar based in Bogotá. His experience spans many industry sectors including: graphic arts, food, consumer products, flowers, construction, financial services and the social sector.
Cortés focuses on managing and developing economic and social projects, taking into account the generation of value to all related parties and with the expectation of leaving a mark for the improvement of communities and the environment. At Fundación Bolívar Davivienda, his valuable management skills have allowed the organization to grow and scale quickly with a mission is to support and foster transformative and high-impact projects that generate capacities in people, communities and organizations to build a more just, equitable and innovative society.
Cortés graduated from School of Business Administration of Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and holds a master’s degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
