Krista Donaldson

As D-Rev’s CEO, Krista Donaldson leads the organization, establishes D-Rev’s direction and vision and ensures that D-Rev impacts the health and well-being of everyone we serve.

She holds a BE from Vanderbilt University as well as a MSE (Product Design), MSME, and a PhD from Stanford University, and she has driven innovation in product design, engineering, and international development for more than 15 years. Her doctoral work was among the first to focus on engineering and social entrepreneurship in less industrialized economies.

Before joining D-Rev, she was a diplomacy fellow in the US Department of State’s American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and then worked as a design engineer for KickStart International in Nairobi, Kenya.

Her leadership has won her acclaim as one of Fast Company’s Co.Design 50 Designers Shaping the Future, a TED speaker, and a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer. She has been a Rainer Arnhold Fellow and a Pop!Tech Social Innovation Fellow, and she has been featured in The New York Times.

Donaldson is originally from Halifax, Canada. She joined D-Rev because she loves combining technical engineering and good design to solve difficult problems, and wanted to help D-Rev take that a step further through emphasizing impact. Her favorite aspect of her job is meeting people, whether it’s global health leaders or doctors and nurses working hard in the hospitals that use D-Rev’s products.

When she isn’t flying from one meeting to another, she’s hanging out with her kids and planning fun activities with her family.
