Nancy McGuire Choi is a social enterprise executive with 12 years of experience pioneering and scaling data-driven strategies and tools for social change. She serves as COO at Polaris, a leader in the fight against human trafficking.
She leads the organization’s strategy and day-to-day operations, including the National Human Trafficking Hotline which provides 24-7 support to survivors of human trafficking, and the Data Analysis Program which serves as a data, research and innovation hub for the anti-trafficking field. She also leads the development of a global consulting program to accelerate the creation of human trafficking hotlines and data innovation efforts globally.
McGuire Choi previously served as COO at Development Gateway, where she spent over a decade creating, professionalizing and scaling global technology and advisory solutions for international development. She oversaw programs in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, and managed institutional partnerships with national governments, the World Bank, UN agencies, USAID, the European Commission, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
She served as co-executive director of AidData, an innovation lab at The College of William and Mary, and as principle investigator for the AidData Center for Development Policy, a $25M USAID Global Development Lab award to create geospatial data and tools to support smarter targeting of foreign aid.
She holds an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BA in Anthropology from Harvard University.
