Simone Coxe is the President of the board of The Pluralism Fund (TPF), a non-profit organization supporting the further development of civil society in Iran and Pakistan. Initiated as a funders’ collaborative in January 2000, TPF’s mission is to promote pluralism, tolerance, and respect for the rights of all, particularly women, in its countries of focus.
Ms. Coxe has been actively involved in international philanthropy since 2002, after completing The Philanthropy Workshop-West, a donor education program sponsored by the Hewlett, Rockefeller, and TOSA Foundations. She currently serves on the board of directors of the World Affairs Council of Northern California, and Palo Alto Partners for Education. She is a member of the Middle East North Africa special interest group at the Global Fund for Women, and sits on the advisory councils of the Global Philanthropy Forum and The Philanthropy Workshop-West Alumni Association.
Professionally, Simone Coxe served as CEO of her own public relations firm from 1985 to 1998, retiring in 2002. Blanc & Otus provides public relations services to the high technology industry from its offices in San Francisco, Boston, Austin, Atlanta, and London. In 1999, the firm was acquired by Hill and Knowlton, one of the largest public relations firms in the world.
Simone is an alumnus of Sarah Lawrence College and the University of California, Berkeley.
