Suzanne Biegel is chief catalyst at Catalyst at Large, and is an active impact investor and philanthropist with a gender and sustainability focus. Her work focuses on impact investing with a women and girls lens. She is Investment Director for SPRING, a project of DFID, Girl Effect and USAID, in East Africa, for ventures with a positive “girl effect.”
She is also a senior adviser at Criterion Institute. She serves on the Board of Directors of Confluence Philanthropy and on the Global Advisory Council for Wharton Social Impact. She founded and runs Women in Social Finance in London and co-founded the Values Based Investment group of Women Donors Network. She is a fellow at The Aspen Institute.
Biegel received the prestigious Beacon award in the UK in 2015. She is a frequent emcee, speaker and panelist in the impact investment arena and on investing and philanthropy with a Women Effect. She brings 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investor, board member, philanthropist and hands-on operational manager to her endeavors. She is a graduate of Wharton Business School, and lives in London, England.
