Vincent McGee has been active in the private foundation field since 1973. Currently, he is senior advisor at The Atlantic Philanthropies and a board member of The Overbrook Foundation, The Sister Fund, and Program for Appropriate Technology in Health. He began his career in philanthropy as the executive director of The DJB Foundation and served as executive director of The Aaron Diamond Foundation from 1985 to 1996. His career has combined activist participation, human rights, and nonviolence efforts. As a volunteer, he has been a board member of Amnesty International USA, The Fund for Peace, FoodChange and often advises donors and non-profits on focus and strategy. He is also a trustee of the Gagarin Trust of St. Petersburg, Russia, an overseer of Smolny College of the State University of St. Petersburg, and an active member of several committees of The European Foundation Center.
