What makes OUR COMMUNITY unique
Brazilian Philanthropy Forum
In partnership with Instituto para o Desenvolvimento do Investimento Social (IDIS) we established the Brazilian Philanthropy Forum (BPF) as a joint initiative in 2012. Much like GPF, BPF aims to connect Brazilian philanthropists and social investors with each other to build a learning community, and to inform and enable the strategic nature of their giving. It is intended to promote peer learning among donors in Brazil with an increasing influence in Latin America. It connects them to key issues, to effective strategies, to local and international leaders and experts with tested strategies in order to address social and development challenges.
African Philanthropy Forum
The African Philanthropy Forum (APF) was created as a project of World Affairs to meet a need to expand the number of philanthropists who give and invest on the Continent where they made their wealth, as well as to connect them with their peers on the Continent and beyond. The goal was for APF to be Africa managed, governed, and funded. We are proud that the APF has been an independent African entity since 2017 and continues its GPF affiliation. The APF was highlighted in BMGF’s CEO Mark Suzman’s 2024 annual letter as an example of growth and evolution of philanthropy globally by helping African donors work together to drive inclusive, sustainable development across the continent.
